EU-programmes
Norway is fully integrated in education- and research cooperation with the EU through the EEA-agreement, various bilateral agreements and national action plans.
Since the beginning of the 1990s Norway has participated in the Socrates-programme and is also a full member of EU's new lifelong learning programme (LLP).
Norway has come a long way to comply with the actions set forth in the Bologna-declaration, and Norwegian institutions of higher education have already for several years used a two-tier degree structure (bachelor's- and masters-degrees). Institutions and other organisations in Norway value opportunities to cooperate with partners in EU countries.
