Allocation of five-year projects 2017-2021

The application deadline for five-year projects between higher education institutions in Norway and developing countries expired 5 September 2016.

A total of 114 eligible applications from 19 higher education institutions in Norway had been received by SIU within the deadline. Out of these, a total of 21 projects have been selected for funding by the Programme Board for NORPART in its meeting on 23 and 24 November 2016. The total amount applied for was approx. NOK 550 million, and the available amount for the 2016 call was approx. NOK 97 million.

What happens next

All applicants will receive a formal reply to the application within one month after the decision has been made.

The aim is to complete the contracts with approved projects by January 2017 which will enable the projects to start up as early as possible in 2017.

The next call for NORPART long-term projects is expected in 2019 for the project period 2020-2024.

Allocation of project development funding 2016

By 22 April SIU received a total number of 114 applications for NORPART project developing funding. The 9 May 2016 SIU made a decision of supporting 52 of the projects. 
The total allocation for the project development funding 2016 is NOK 2 493 724. Please find a list of projects that are allocated support at the bottom of this page.
